Academic System at IILM BS offers ample opportunity to its students for development of managerial skills through rigorous learning system and practical industrial exposure. The students are given flexibility to grow and learn at their own pace under the supervision of expert management faculties. The course structure is deigned in a way to have best combination of management theories and experimental learning.
Teaching Methodology
Teaching methodology at IILM BS provide its students the invaluable opportunity of self development through practical learning and application of theories. Independent growth of each student is promoted under the supervision of experienced faculty and industrial experts.
Course Structure
At IILM BS, students have a number of opportunities to develop their skills in multidisciplinary areas of management. The course structure is designed in a way that students have in-depth information of the core and specialization subjects. Students, who want to do research in management subjects, are provided with full support from the institute.
Credit System
The credit System at IILM BS is introduced to bring flexibility among students to grow and learn at their own pace, subject to the regulation of credit requirements. Each subject is assigned a certain number of credits, depending upon the number of contact hours per week with respect to the number of lectures / tutorials and laboratory / practical / studio work hours. The students are not in a pressure to pass/fail on an annual exam.
Continuous Evaluation
The quality of education at IILM BS conforms to international standards. The learning process is combined with critical thinking and practical exposure of the business world. Evaluation of each student is done to judge the developments in their skills. Each student is encouraged to give his/her best.
» Class Participation
Two way communications is always appreciated. IILM BS encourage its students to take part in the class room lecture. Class room participation brings clarity of the subject among students. One great advantage of class room participation is that you will always remember that topic. Participation in lectures also enhances the following skills

» Assignment
Each student of IILM BS Management Programme is expected to submit two assignments during a semester. Different assignments are given to different syndicates. All members of the syndicates are expected to discuss the problem and find solution to the same. Each member of the syndicate is expected to equally participate in solving the assignment.
All students of the syndicate are expected to submit the assignment individually. While they are expected to present common solution, they have the opportunity to express themselves as individuals and demonstrate their exceptional ability. They may recommend deletion/modification/addition to the syndicate solution.
Students may furnish additional data / information downloaded from the Internet and put up diverse views away from syndicate solution.
Industrial Projects
IILM BS offers the opportunity to each of its students for Industry Oriented Project / Independent Study Project/ Group Discussion / Seminar / Quiz. Practical exposure to industry working is important to groom for industry demanding needs. The faculty members encourage its students for 'Industry Oriented Project'. The teaching faculty ensures that each student is engaged in at least two activities during the semester.
IILM BS evaluate its students for the following:
- Statement of the problem/ issues (correctness/ quality)
- Research on existing practices, if any, and their critical analysis, highlighting their advantages and defects
- Suggested Solutions: analysis, correctness, and practicability, use of technology and application of statistical tools
- Presentation, clarity of concept, quality of presentation
- Slide/Power point presentation / OHP Film, ability to respond to queries, etc.
» Practical Training and Industrial visits
Practical training and industrial visit are an integral part of the academic program at IILM BS. The curriculum is designed in a way to have the best combination of theory and practical. Every student is expected to make one industrial project in each semester in addition to an assignment. The last semester of Postgraduate course is dedicated to industry interface with submission of Dissertation Report at the end of semester.
It is expected that every student will register himself/herself for the foregoing practical training. Each student takes up a training at the end of every semester. Each student deputed on practical training is required to prepare a project report. The faculty member evaluates the same and the students are made to present the same. An unsatisfactory performance may debar the students from the award of the qualification.
The evaluation system comprises the following elements with the weightages shown against each for the Postgraduate and Undergraduate schemes:
